synthetic detergents, which are often made of petrochemicals;

phenols (established endocrine disruptors, of which BPA is the most notorious);

fragrance, which often contains phthalates;

optical brighteners, which are often made from benzene, a definite carcinogen;

bleach, which contains chlorine (an environmental toxin–and possibly a carcinogen and endocrine disruptor);

phosphates, which break down minerals and render detergent more effective, at the cost of harmful environmental ramifications.

Another one of the many reasons I switched stores.

Another wellness store tip…

This is one tip that I’ve used in my home for several years now.
MelaBoost is a laundry fragrance booster that my entire family loves. When the bottle is empty, I fill it up halfway with water and give it a good shake. I mix a few capfuls of rubbing alcohol with it to help it evaporate after I spraying. I had a spare Reivie spray bottle so I decided to use that and wrote “Boost” on the side so I know what I’m grabbing.
So now you are probably wondering, what the heck do I use it for? Well, this is the best way to use every last drop of MelaBoost and I use it as a room refresher spray on soft surfaces, such as the couch; carpet; curtains; blankets; dog beds; and beds. It helps everything smell like heaven and not a a drop of this goodness is wasted!

Give it a try, you can thank me later.

You Don’t Know Until You Know…

then you do better!

Twenty years ago I ditched toxic cleaners and household products. I had no idea how harmful they were until my toddler nephew came close to getting into the cabinet under the sink—you know, the one where you keep all of your cleaning products.

Even with safety latches in place and near constant supervision he came close to being seriously harmed or possibly worse.

Every day reputable studies are telling us how dangerous the ingredients in our cleaners and personal products are. What are you waiting for? I don’t care what company or products you switch to, I just want you to switch!

Check out this study that was forwarded to me today by a friend. Click Here

Spring into Summer Cleaning

What a perfect time to make the switch and go green. Why? The proof is there. Studies by the EPA, CDC, NIH and especially the Lung Study. Here are some findings from that study:

  • Weekly use of national brand home cleaners are as damaging to lungs as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for 20 years
  • Women are affected more than men
  • Cleaning at home is just as harmful as being an occupational cleaner, if not more so
  • Liquid cleaners are just as dangerous as sprays
  • Dangerous chemicals, including ammonia, bleach and quaternary disinfectant compounds appear to be primary culprits
  • Women who regularly use cleaning products have increased rates of asthma
  • Damage is cumulative over time

Unfortunately, some products are marketed as green when they really aren’t. And then products that you touch everyday, like your Dawn dish soap have FORMALDEHYDE in them. What touches your skin is absorbed by the skin!

This is one of the easiest steps to creating a healthy home! Let me help you!

It’s like Magic!

This is one of my favorite cleaning products.

Made to tackle the greasiest, grimiest messes indoors and out, this heavy-duty cleaner provides industrial-strength cleaning power to battle the toughest grease messes on your stovetop and in your oven without caustic ammonia, chlorine bleach, or other toxic chemicals.

I also use it to wash our cars. They always look pristine.

I love the everyday essentials I find shopping at my online wellness store. For the past 20 years I’ve been toxin free and eco friendly!

My Two Cents Worth

If there’s one thing I would convert to better, cleaner and greener items it would be that supermarket laundry, cleaning aisle.
Did you know that it takes only 26 seconds for whatever your skin touches to enter your bloodstream?!
That’s mind-boggling.

The brand I use is made with zero carcinogens, zero parabens, and is free of so many other ingredients that you can’t pronounce.
I say, if you can’t pronounce it, it’s likely not something you want or need in your system.

And that’s my two cents.

Do You Want a Safer Household for Your Kids?

Of course you do! So did I. It’s not enough to make certain there are no sharp or hard objects that can hurt them, or simply making a clean home. Did you know many of our old-time favorite brands can be toxic to our children and pets?

Well many are. So what can you do?

You can simplify the products in your home easily and get rid of all the harsh chemical-laden products you use for cleaning!
It will help you clean the air in your living spaces. The image shows how easily you can make the change and keep you children’s, pet’s and your lungs healthier.

The image shows just a few examples of what my favorite Wellness Shopping Club replaces.

When you make the change, cleaning feels better—the rashes and eczema I had went away; the environment seems fresher—no chemical or fake flowery smells; and you find your family’s health, hair and skin has started to clear up! All because you changed cleaning and other household products.

I don’t know about you, but it makes me thankful that I can improve my family’s health with simple changes! Oh, and another thing, these products costs less and it’s concentrated so they last a whole lot longer and saves money ass well!

Oven Melamagic

I love Melamagic’s degreasing, heavy duty deep cleaning effects. But, dislike the need to make a sink or bucketful to use it. This is an amazing product that actually works like —well, magic!

Today was lets clean the oven day and I thought I’d try something different. I put the product (mixed as directed) into a sprayer bottle I found under the kitchen sink.

I sprayed my broiler pan, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Then I did a light scrub just to kind of scratch up the residue and sprayed a little more. I did not let it dry. Twenty to thirty minutes later I rubbed it with a soft scouring pad and rinsed it under hot water. Anything that didn’t come off easily with a light scrub got to sit a while longer. Then I did a final scrub, a final rinse and wiped all surfaces until rag came back clean. After cleaning the broiler pan I couldn’t stop—I cleaned the stove and most used frying pan!

The best part is there were no harmful fumes or chemicals released into the air. Safer for your lungs and for your family. There is no better reasons than family to join the Wellness Club, and convert your entire home and lifestyle over to wellness!!!

Did you Know?

Your health may be at stake.

Did you know European countries have banned more than one thousand chemicals which we, in the USA, still use every day? Are you okay with using chemicals which have been proven to be the cause of skin conditions, breathing problems, allergies, diabetes, and cancer?

Major manufacturing companies are not always focused on your health and safety.

One Reason Why I Would Never Use Any Other Household Products

In June of 2010 for an in-home presentation I put a squirt of Melapower Laundry detergent and some water into a clear eight-ounce preserving jar and fastened the lid. I always made sure to have a bottle with Melapower and water as well as the “competition” in a separate bottle. The competition? Tide with water. I did this so, whenever I did an in-home or a product training, I could show the differences between the two products. These bottles also showed how Tide was full of chemicals and Melapower was chemical free. You could see with your own eyes the difference between the two products and how Melapower is definitely chemical free! I always labeled the bottles to show no matter how long the Melapower was in the bottle nothing changed. unlike the Tide bottle.

GUESS WHAT?

I found that bottle on Saturday tucked away on the back of a shelf in my office. Believe it or not, the water has dev eloped a slight blueish tinge to it, but nothing else. I haven’t opened the bottle and I have no plans to open it. This product has spent fourteen years in the bottle and there isn’t any scum or bacteria growing. There isn’t any mold growing either. But that bottle that with Tide and water, often had mold growing and the metal lid rusted through. The label & the lid on the bottle with Melapower are still on the bottle

The best product wins, as the saying goes “The Proof Is In The Pudding!!
