What’s Under Your Sink?

If you knew what was actually in the products under your sink… you’d throw them out TODAY.

👃 Bleach is linked to asthma.

🧼 “Fragrance” can legally hide over 3,000 untested chemicals.

Most families have no idea of the dangers lurking below their sinks.

We love Sol-U-Mel!

My nephew got married this past weekend. My little three-year-old great niece accidentally wrote on my purse.
Thankfully, I had solumel. One swipe and it was gone.

My world just got clearer!

Things are looking brighter! Now in a more effective formula, Clear Power 12x is a plant-derived, biodegradable window cleaner that packs powerful results into every bottle. Each ingredient works together to clean shiny surfaces fast—leaving no streaks or spots behind. I use it on:
• Windows
• Mirrors
• Stainless steel
• Glass
• Phone screens
• Glass stove top.

What will you use it on?

Toxic Products In the Home

For me, I pretty much switched all my cleaning products at the same time, but TILEX was first out the door. When I became more aware of the toxic ingredients in cleaning and laundry products, I picked up the TILEX bottle and it literally said “Do not stay in room while using this product”!
Yeah…read that last statement again and then think about it.

Interestingly enough, in 2015 and then again in 2019, Clorox amended the label to sound not so scary. It now says:

Wash hands and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Wear eye protection/face protection such as safety glasses. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes.”

We take warning labels for granted.

Did you know that TIDE and grocery store laundry detergents have an ingredient called 1.4 Dioxane, which is a known carcinogen? It’s banned in Europe and finally certain states are establishing laws. Unfortunately, all the manufacturers do is “reduce” the amount instead of removing it entirely…like that makes it okay.

What did you ditch? More importantly, what do you NEED to ditch?

Think Your Purchases Are “All Natural”?

Think Again.

First of all, there’s no legal definition for the term “All Natural” so when I read or hear that, my skeptical side comes out.
But over the last few years, those cute little companies that popped up with “natural” products sold out while you weren’t looking. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but here’s what happens:

When a company like Clorox purchases Burt’s Bees, usually what happens is they change the formula…and they have every right to do it. They now own the product. It costs more money to produce a healthy product and they want to improve their margins. It’s their right…but they often fail to inform the customer and the customer presumes that it’s still as natural as it once was.

In fact, there have been multiple lawsuits involving several of these big manufacturers for saying a product they acquired was green when, in reality, they changed the formulation to include cheaper and often toxic chemicals so the product was no longer green.

The skeptic in me says “Do I really think a company like Clorox really believes in my health and offer me green clean products when they also produce bleach?”

It takes paying attention to where our shopping dollars go.

My clean kitchen

These are the products that I consistently use in my kitchen. I use the original Rustic Touch on the counter tops and stainless steel appliances. I dilute the Lemon Brite and shorten a spray top for the bottle. I like the ease of spraying the dish detergent on pans, dishes, etc. I use diluted
Sol-u-Mel to eliminate odors. Tough and Tender is a wonderful all-purpose cleaner. DiamondBrite and Rinse Aid in the dishwasher for sparkling clean dishes and glasses. What do you use in the kitchen?

Tough and Tender

This is probably my favorite product. I have used it daily for 20 years! Because I use it so often, I make sure I NEVER run out!
It is such an amazing product I’ve found a multitude of uses for it!

First of all it is an all-purpose cleanser and I use it to cleans all the surfaces on everything . Although it is a tough cleanser, it is
safe and gentle for your babies and fur babies. So you can spray down your high chair or the floor and not worry about your baby
eating off it or your pup walking the floor and licking their paws.

Economically, it is around $1.58 a bottle — so it is worth it.

But, if that isn’t enough to have you sold, here are some other ways I use it:

Black house flies: Yes, I use it on pesky house flies when they get inside. I love how one strategic squirt knocks them right out of the air!
It works on most flying insects, I’ve knocked Stink bugs out of the air with this product as well as spiders and lubbers. One or two sprays
even from 10 feet away does the trick.

Ants: I use it on my porch in the spring when the ants come out to play.and hang out on my porch. When I spray my porch down, the ants
don’t come back 😂

Fruit flies: I sprayed my fresh fruit and tomatoes with the product and rinse them off. It’s safe for fruit, vegetables and humans and it prevents
little fruit flies…

Plants: I use a diluted amount to clean my plants. The leaves are bright and vibrant and I notice fewer gnats and gross bugs are around my plants because of this.

No wonder it’s my favorite cleaner ever!

Clean with a Gleam

I always just vacuum my floors. But, with my dog shedding everywhere and the tiny muddy paw prints, well, my floor was way overdue!

I like using safe products that are not harmful to tiny paws or his health. This system has a duster to remove dust and grime, then there’s the mopping pad which is followed by the wax and shine applicator. I was surprised how the duster picked up all the dust and got in the corners of the furniture. Then I started cleaning. The results blew my socks off. My home smells so clean and the floor looks so shiny for the first time since I moved in two years ago!.

Today I decided to actually clean them. This is the first time in years and they gleam! I am so thankful I found this amazing hardwood floor cleaner!

Why consider switching stores?

This one goes out to all the mamas, baby mamas, and grandmamas.

Did you know that it only takes 26 seconds for the cleaning CHEMICALS in your floor to enter your child’s bloodstream through their feet? WW! Let that sink in.

It may be time to consider switching stores— if not for you, for your little ones.

I am so glad I found plant-based cleaners for our home at The Wellness Store. Our heath improved and I’ve never looked back!
