Are you heading for a Snaccident?

“When you don’t plan ahead SNACCIDENTS happen! A friend has a long night ahead of him working a casino. Eating junk food and working until 4am is the perfect recipe to weaken the immune system and feel like crap. A few minutes of prep and he can munch away all night and put the odds in his favor to feel good tomorrow.

Like most individuals, i tend to ” get snacky” in the evening. To combat a potential snaccident, I often resort to Fiberwise. This stuff is amazing after dinner as a “dessert”. It helps to keep me feeling full and satisfied while eliminating my desire for late night snacks.

Over time, I have developed different hunger patterns and no longer have a desire for evening snacks!

It always matters what you eat! FYI, I have never had anyone deny me entrance when I show up with my own food.

My secret’s out

I don’t know who needs to hear this but…my secret is out!
I get all of my family’s beef delivered to my home for about
$120 – $130 depending on which cute I select. Yes, and
this beef has:
• no added hormones
• no antibiotics
• no jabs or unwanted vaccines and
• it is humanely raised.

I priced out several other companies and even used a competing company for a long while before I
found this company. In the interest of full disclosure, I have purchased some beef from local farmers when it’s available, or in case we run out. It’s similar in quality, but it is more expensive than this company’s plan.

If you need an option that your budget can afford – this, I found, is hands down the best option.

I haven’t purchase store-bought beef for more than a year, and I’m so thankful that I can honestly say I
I know what is in my meat.

TI encourage you to take care of your family’s wellness wherever you can!

Safer household at a better price

My friend converted her home in a one-stop shop for $108.
She then went to Target to see how much she REALLY saved.
She scanned comparable items such as Seventh Generation.
The cost was over $200 with her Target Red card!

An interesting item to note is that most of the cleaners in the switchover
are concentrated, meaning they make the equivalent of six bottles of cleaner.

An added plus: is no child proof caps! Every product in this product line is non-toxic
so it is safer for your home. Safer for you and Safer for your family.

Of course having the ability to shop from the comfort of your home is pretty special too.
No heavy containers, bottles or boxes to lug from the store to the car to home..

Oh, another bonus, Target doesn’t give you $100 just to shop with them.

I love shopping with this store! If you haven’t tried them yet, you should!

Health Benefits of Berberine

I lost count how many posts I have seen recently about Ozempic !

Taking it for weightloss can have negative consequences on your health. I actually know a few people who ended up in the hospital from taking it and they’re not diabetic.

What if there was a natural alternative?

Berberine.

Berberine is a compound found in many plants, including European barberry, phellodendron, Oregon grape, goldenseal, and goldthread. These plants have historically been used to treat everything from infection to sores.

The first traces of berberine being used medicinally are found more than 3000 years ago, when the barberry plant and its relatives were being cultivated in China and South Asia. The stems, leaves, and bark of the plant were used in a variety of ways. Evidence also shows that berberine-containing plants were used in South America, the Middle East, and Europe to treat different conditions.

What are the benefits of Berberine? I’m hearing a lot of things. From being investigated as a treatment for diabetes; lowering blood pressure and cholesterol to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

.One friends doctor put her on these rather than Metformin. Being that I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes, I’m going to give this a try (after discussing with my doctor, of course!) to see if this will be a better alternative for me. In fact, I’m hearing phrases like “Nature’s Ozempic” because it has been shown to lower glucose levels in people with diabetes. Studies show that it helps your body respond better to insulin and prevents your liver from creating more glucose. As a result, people with diabetes may find berberine helps lower their blood sugar levels and help with weight loss..

I found this article from WebMD That goes into more detail about this potential solution:: https://www.webmd.com/diet/berberine-health-benefits

As with any health supplement, it’s best to consult your doctor before you start taking berberine.

CHEESE! How Healthy is it?

We know it’s a dairy product, but what about all the additives and preservatives?

That’s a great question…but a hard one to get an answer that we will totally love. Those single slices of American cheese are filled with preservatives because they help inhibit the growth of yeast and mold. But get this….those same preservatives are often used in our wine!

Swiss, Sharp, Feta….. if you do your personal research, you can find cheese that is void of those harmful additives.

Some of the healthiest cheese you can find is raw. These cheeses are made from raw milk that has not been pasteurized. Raw cheese contains an array of beneficial enzymes and nutrients and is therefore more easily digested than cheeses made from pasteurized milk.

Don’t be afraid to try “raw milk” cheeses. For example, Parmigiano Reggiano can’t legally be called Parmigiano Reggiano unless it’s made from raw milk. You can purchase some raw milk cheese from an organic source at your farmers market or at your local health food stores or organic stores.

BEEF: A Nutritional Powerhouse

For a while now, we’ve been told to limit red meat, but that’s a very narrow and uneducated view. There’s a lot of mixed information out there. Beef is actually……

  • Protein rich and low carb
  • Nutrient dense and loaded with key vitamins and minerals
  • Contains all 9 essential amino acids the body needs
  • A good source of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant

Several well known physicians, including Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr. Ken D Berry, embrace a diet rich in beef, especially in the fight against cancer. My holistic therapist is constantly promoting a more Keto lifestyle as part of a healing protocol with cancer, and here’s why:

Protein is essential and while you can get protein from other sources, high quality beef is the most nutrient dense source. Quality beef is loaded with vitamins and minerals. In fact, beef is the best natural source of vitamin B12. Beef is a good source of vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, and K—as well as essential minerals, including zinc, selenium, phosphorus, iron, copper, potassium, and magnesium.

The key is to avoid any antibiotics and hormones, not ever! Insist on pasture raised and grass fed. Russ and I choose only USDA Prime beef that is raised here in the US from a source that we know and trust. So while we believe in juicing and eating lots of great fruits and veggies, grilled fish, we eat high quality beef a few times a week.
