When Clean Isn’t Safe: An Eye-Opening Experience

Cindy’s Story
I grew up like most people—using all the familiar store-bought cleaners for my home, dishes, laundry, and even personal care. I was also exposed to secondhand smoke from birth and later became a smoker myself (thankfully, I quit after 10 years). I now live with emphysema.
About 14 years ago, a friend from church told me about The Wellness Company. I figured I’d give it a try and started with the Value Pack. Little by little, I swapped out the products I was used to—and I was amazed. Everything I tried worked better than what I had been using!

Then, a couple of years in, I had a moment I’ll never forget. I walked into my house and was hit with a STRONG smell of bleach—turns out my roommate couldn’t find the Tub & Tile cleaner and grabbed an old bottle of Scrubbing Bubbles I thought I’d tossed. He was cleaning upstairs, and I could smell it all the way downstairs.
That was my wake-up call.

I’m so thankful I made the switch when I did—not just for my own lungs, but for my pets too. If you’re still using harsh chemicals or are living with COPD or similar conditions, please consider making a change. Safer products do make a difference. Your life could depend on it—mine certainly does.

We are here to help you make healthier choices.

When you know better, you do better.

Learning about these products in 2004 really opened my eyes to the importance of ingredients. I discovered that some ingredients can cause cancer, skin irritation, and respiratory issues. That explained why I always had skin reactions and felt miserable after cleaning,

I can’t even imagine how much money I’ve saved by switching to non-toxic products that work even better than the toxic ones I used to use. These days, even if a company offered me free cases of Snuggle Softeners and Fabuloso, I wouldn’t use them.

An educated consumer makes better choices. When you know better, you do better.

Another wellness store tip…

This is one tip that I’ve used in my home for several years now.
MelaBoost is a laundry fragrance booster that my entire family loves. When the bottle is empty, I fill it up halfway with water and give it a good shake. I mix a few capfuls of rubbing alcohol with it to help it evaporate after I spraying. I had a spare Reivie spray bottle so I decided to use that and wrote “Boost” on the side so I know what I’m grabbing.
So now you are probably wondering, what the heck do I use it for? Well, this is the best way to use every last drop of MelaBoost and I use it as a room refresher spray on soft surfaces, such as the couch; carpet; curtains; blankets; dog beds; and beds. It helps everything smell like heaven and not a a drop of this goodness is wasted!

Give it a try, you can thank me later.

Do You Want a Safer Household for Your Kids?

Of course you do! So did I. It’s not enough to make certain there are no sharp or hard objects that can hurt them, or simply making a clean home. Did you know many of our old-time favorite brands can be toxic to our children and pets?

Well many are. So what can you do?

You can simplify the products in your home easily and get rid of all the harsh chemical-laden products you use for cleaning!
It will help you clean the air in your living spaces. The image shows how easily you can make the change and keep you children’s, pet’s and your lungs healthier.

The image shows just a few examples of what my favorite Wellness Shopping Club replaces.

When you make the change, cleaning feels better—the rashes and eczema I had went away; the environment seems fresher—no chemical or fake flowery smells; and you find your family’s health, hair and skin has started to clear up! All because you changed cleaning and other household products.

I don’t know about you, but it makes me thankful that I can improve my family’s health with simple changes! Oh, and another thing, these products costs less and it’s concentrated so they last a whole lot longer and saves money ass well!

LUNG HEALTH MATTERS

Our airways are exposed constantly to toxins that can cause chronic lung diseases.

Our lungs suffer an estimated 1%-2% decline in function every year beginning somewhere between 25 and 35 years of age.

Research suggests that this is attributed to changes in lung tissue, changes in muscle strength, exposure to various toxins in the home and air pollution.

If your glass/mirror cleaner is a typical store bought brand, it likely contains Ammonia. It’s found in Windex, Glass Plus and even Lysol Disinfectant Spray. Ammonia is a caustic chemical that irritates and burns the skin and eyes and is highly dangerous to inhale.

It doesn’t play well with others. If mixed with a cleaner that contains chlorine bleach, it can create chloramine gas, which can be deadly.

Why not make one of your 2024 goals to convert your home over to 100% green cleaning products? I did this in 2002 and have never looked back! My cleaning people love me too!

Don’t Miss a Single Messy Moment.

Some of life’s greatest memories also come with messes—dishes after family dinners, grass stains from backyard football, and paint splatters from crafts with the kids. With EcoSense, you can focus on the moments instead of the mess. EcoSense can easily clean it all up with highly effective formulas that are safer for your home, your family, and the environment. So enjoy the moment and embrace every beautiful mess!

Are you putting your health at risk?

This picture caught your attention, didn’t it? Seems crazy right?

Who in their right mind would let their kids smoke cigarettes?

Then, why would you let them in a house cleaned with Clorox, Lysol, and Windex? A new, independent study based on 20 years of research reveals a sobering fact: cleaning your home with national brand cleaners significantly damages lung tissue.

How confident are you that these cleansers are safe? Nearly all of the national brand cleaning products you buy at the grocery store are made with a multitude of harmful chemicals. According to the study, some of the likely culprits are ammonia, chlorine bleach, and quaternary disinfectant compounds—among many others. Cleaning your home with products that contain dangerous chemicals as little as once per week was as damaging over time to respiratory health as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for 20 years!

You don’t have to be a smoker to be at risk and the same goes for cleaning products—you don’t have to be the one cleaning. Just because you can’t see it damage it can cause doesn’t mean the products aren’t dangerous to you and your family.

Usually what exposes us the most are the things we never see coming. What’s stopping you from making better choices?

When the study, which was conducted by 28 top researchers from nine countries was peer-reviewed and published in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, it drew international media attention.
Here is a link to the study itself:

Cleaning at home and at work in relation to lung function decline and airway obstruction

After a thoughtful review of the study’s conclusions, I’m convinced you’ll see the urgency in removing national brand cleaners from your home and replacing them like I have, with the safer, more effective alternative products like EcoSense.

Are you at risk for harmful toxins in your home?

Smoking can put you at risk for many diseases, including colorectal cancer. If you don’t smoke because of health risks, then you need to check out your cleaning products as well.

This remarkable 20-year study shows that the cleaning products you uses can be just as harmful as smoking and second-hand smoke.

I love that I switched stores and get everything I need for my healthy home in one place. I don’t have to make my own cleaners and they are super cost effective, good for the environment and, most of all, affordable!
