Salt is necessary

Although “salt” and “sodium” are used interchangeably, they are different. Sodium is considered an essential mineral in the body as it is required for normal physiological function. Salt is not seasoning. It’s not the enemy—and it’s not optional.

This isn’t about nutrition. It’s about electricity, memory, and natural order.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN TOLD:

  • Salt raises blood pressure.
  • Sodium is dangerous.
  • Salt is just a flavor enhancer.

WHAT WE WEREN’T TOLD:

  • Refined salt is stripped, bleached, chemically altered — it’s the problem.
  • Natural salt (Himalayan, sea salt, Celtic grey) is mineral-rich and essential for human bioelectric balance.
  • Every nerve signal, heartbeat, and cellular transport system in your body relies on sodium.

WITHOUT REAL SALT:

  • Our adrenal system crashes.
  • We retain water inefficiently.
  • Our brain fogs.
  • Our energy declines.

IN NATURAL BIOLOGY:

  • Salt regulates membrane potential.
  • It stabilizes hydration at the cellular level, not just in the bloodstream.
  • It works in tandem with potassium, magnesium, and water to create energy.

THE REAL PROBLEM:

  • Refined salt is an industrial product.
  • Table salt is chemically sterilized and often laced with flow agents like aluminum.
  • It’s suggested that the anti-salt campaign began in the 1970s with flawed studies used to justify pharmaceutical intervention.

SALT IN PRACTICE TODAY:

  • Add a pinch of mineral salt to your water each morning to assist hydration.
  • Use it during fasting to stabilize energy and reduce lightheadedness.
  • Cook with it. Sweat with it. Honor it.

BECAUSE REAL SALT CAN:

  • Reduce headaches.
  • Support adrenal recovery.
  • Improve energy and cognition.
  • Restore balance without a pill.

MOST IMPORTANTLY:

  • It can’t be patented, monetized, or industrialized at scale without stripping its benefit.

SUMMARY: Refined salt is synthetic. Natural salt is sacred. The body runs on minerals, and salt is the delivery system.

This isn’t trend. It’s truth. Let real salt return. Let the body remember how to live.

Raising prices?

On the list were laundry detergent, toothpaste, coffee, cold medicine, vitamins, skin care, cosmetics, pain relievers, shampoo, hair treatments. Ummm…seriously? Do you see the disconnect here?

I’ve bought ALL of these items and more from my MADE IN THE USA Wellness company over the past 21 years! I’m not worried about price increases or stocking up on these products because the products I usee are MADE IN AMERICA!

Before shopping at my Wellness store I had zero thought about “Toxic” Tide or Gain—I didn’t care what ingredients were in them or the skin care and cosmetics I used. I used my old products religiously, even though my face reacted often to whatever poison was in them. I drank my mold-laden coffee because I didn’t know any better. And toothpaste? I used the most expensive one for sensitive teeth because my gums were sore.

Now 21 years later, I still pay less than $20 for 96 loads of the BEST laundry detergent ever. I pay less than $5 for toothpaste that is powered with essential oils and healed my gums. I even drink mold-free organic coffee that is so delicious.

As for cosmetics, skin care, shampoo…I’m obsessed with the Sei Bella brand skincare from this company. Obsessed! Just think, $15.50 for a luxury mascara! The prices for this clean line are unbeatable!

Then there are my daily supplements, proven to work, better absorption and at a better price point. No scrimping on my health! I could go on and on about the hundreds of products my Wellness company offers!

If you love your toxic made in China brands, stock up they will be going up in price.

How Strong Are Your Bones?

Did you know that 43% of Americans over 50 have low bone density that predisposes them to osteoporosis, shattered bones and shortened longevity.

  • Vitamin D requires magnesium to transform into its active form in the body. Most Americans are magnesium deficient.
  • K2/D3 is critical to help deliver the Vitamin D and calcium out of the bloodstream (which can cause calcifications) and to the bones to protect bone mass.
  • Most medical journals suggest 2000 IU/day of Vitamin D but since most people are deficient, I suggest 5000 IU/day for most.
  • Steroids, cortisone, proton-pump inhibitors are all considered bone-depleting drugs.
  • Failure to engage in weight-bearing exercise can cause significant bone loss that is NOT offset by other beneficial practices. It is ESSENTIAL!

We should all make healthy choices that will help strengthen our bones (diet, exercise, supplements but for those predisposed to osteoporosis because of small body frame, family history, or lack of prevention initiated in early life, a comprehensive bone-protecting program is essential.

We love Sol-U-Mel!

My nephew got married this past weekend. My little three-year-old great niece accidentally wrote on my purse.
Thankfully, I had solumel. One swipe and it was gone.

Have you tried fennel?

Fennel, is an interesting plant food. It is an Italian tradition And can be eaten raw like a celery stick. It has a licorice flavor to it.

5 Benefits of Fennel:

1. Aids Digestion: Relieves bloating, gas, and supports smoother digestion.

2. Nutrient-Rich: High in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and a little calcium and iron.

3. Fights Inflammation: Contains compounds that help reduce inflammation naturally.

4. Supports Hormones: Traditionally used to ease bloating and mild hormonal symptoms.

5. Freshens Breath: Chewing fennel seeds after meals naturally freshens breath.

Here are two simple, traditional ways to enjoy it:

1. Raw in Salads: Slice the bulb very thin (use a knife or mandoline), toss it with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. It’s crisp, slightly sweet, and refreshing — pairs especially well with arugula, shaved parmesan, or even some orange slices if you want a classic Italian twist. I just it slice it up like celery to grab and eat!

2. Roasted in the Oven: Cut the fennel bulb into wedges, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and maybe a little thyme or rosemary, and roast at 400°F for about 25–30 minutes. It caramelizes beautifully, taking on a soft, sweet, almost buttery flavor.

Old-school wisdom: When you cook fennel, it mellows out — if you love a milder flavor, roasting is the way to go. If you like a crisper, sharper taste, stick to raw.

21 years of shopping

I was cash poor. My newly found healthy shop club had a value pack that was 50% off so I “robbed Peter to pay Paul” to get that savings.

A few days later, I walked into Walmart with my list of normal product needs and one by one realized that “Nope, that is coming in the pack.”

I wonder how much money I have saved over 21 years by not even walking into a Walmart month after month. I was good at not buying something I would not use, but the point was: I was living fine without it before I saw it on sale at Walmart.

I don’t even spend gas (and time) by going to the curbside pickup.

LYME DISEASE

It’s known as “The Big Imitator” because its symptoms mimic so many other conditions. Many people go years before getting the proper diagnosis.

As with any illness or autoimmune disease, if the root cause is not addressed, symptoms persist. Here are four common symptoms of Lyme Disease that are often misdiagnosed.

  1. Chronic Fatigue: Taking COQ10 can help rebuild energy at the cellular level.
  2. Brain Fog & Memory Issues: Herbs like Bacopa and brain supplements with Ginkgo biloba, Bacopa monnieri, and phosphatidylserine support recall, concentration and cognition.
  3. Joint & Muscle Pain: Supplements with Turmeric and Resveratrol help to reduce inflammation.
  4. Anxiety & Depression: Supplements with ashwagandha and saffron help regulate stress responses. Too often, people spend years with the wrong diagnosis of depression, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue or stress. Lyme Disease can be diagnosed with a blood test, but if tested at too early of a stage, the test might result in an inaccurate result.

Persistence is key until you get the proper diagnosis!

What’s up with that tiny “e”?

Did you know that the tiny “e” on some products means they meet strict European health and safety standards? I didn’t—and it completely changed the way I look at what our family uses daily.

Europe has banned over 1,300 toxic ingredients from personal care items. The U.S.? Just 11. That’s not a small oversight—that’s negligence.

Even worse, some brands knowingly sell two versions of the same product: one clean and safe for Europe, and one cheap and toxic for the U.S. This isn’t about protecting our health. It’s about padding their profits, while we unknowingly put harmful chemicals on our skin and in our homes.

That ends with us. My family now checks labels, hunts for that “e” symbol, and sticks with companies that don’t compromise safety for savings.

Thankfully, my Wellness store delivers high-quality, American-made, toxin-free products without the luxury price tag. And let’s be clear—this isn’t just a “mom thing” or a “beauty thing.”

Men, you’ve got skin too. You’ve got families too. This is about protecting your future. Swapping out toxic products isn’t a trend—it’s a wake-up call. Once you know better, there’s no going back.

Do you garden?

Gardens love The Wellness Company! I LOVE using my products when I work in the yard or garden…whether as an insect repellant for my body, ant killer, or insect killer on plants. Here are some of my Healthy Garden Solutions:

Hostas
• Spray Tough & Tender on Hosta plants, especially if bugs are eating holes in them. Bugs will be GONE! Hostas will have no damage from Tough & Tender and stay beautiful the rest of the summer!
• Spray Sol-U-Mel on Hostas to keep bugs from eating holes in them.

Tomatoes
• If aphids attack tomato plants or for an infestation, use diluted Sol-U-Mel (one ounce of Sol-U-Mel per spray bottle) and start spraying. The smell is pleasant, and non-toxic to boot. No worries about getting it all over hands and arms or inhaling toxic fumes and it works quickly. Apply Sol-U-Mel solution a few of days later to the aphids that were missed and…no more problems with aphids!

Roses
• Spray diluted Sol-U-Mel on rose bushes to get rid of aphids.
• Spray Tough & Tender on rose bushes to prevent aphids and black spots on the leaves.
• In Spring, to prevent those hard-to-see thrips and browning blooms a spray with Tough & Tender takes care of them. When the roses are setting their first blooms give them a quick spray. Your roses will be beautiful and healthy and you only need to do this one time in the spring.

Ants
• Ants will appear here and there in the garden. You can use undiluted PreSpot, Sol-U-Mel or Tough & Tender on ants. A bucket of water with a bit of product is usually enough to discourage their presence. If it is a large hill additional spraying directly may be in order.

General Garden Use
• Tough & Tender makes a great fertilizer for tomato plants—used it as directed and the plants will thrive!
• For aphids in the garden, for example broccoli-cabbage crops, use diluted Tough &Tender. It is important to be persistent to follow up and check inside leaves to make sure the aphids are all cleaned up.
• Spray patio chairs in the places that earwigs like to hide, and they never come all summer long.
• Spray the entire garden with diluted Sol-U-Mel to ward off pesky bugs.
• Make a spray with one teaspoon of Lemon Brite, one teaspoon of Sol-U-Mel, garlic, cayenne and vegetable oil to spray for slugs and fungus.
• Spray fruit trees with diluted Lemon Brite dish detergent to protect against bugs.
• While in the garden, spray yourself with diluted Sol-U-Mel to keep away mosquitoes and black flies. It is especially effective when going berry picking in the bush.

People always ask me what my secret is, as all my plants seem to do better after being sprayed with the Sol-U-Mel. I tell everyone that they can wash the floor and pour that water in their garden! Really, they ask me? Yes, I say, these products are safe and your garden will beccome amazing! I am so happy that I have something safe that I can use!

Ditch the Diet. Embrace the Lifestyle.

Are you tired of hopping from one diet to the next with nothing to show but frustration and yo-yo results, you’re not alone? Diets are temporary. But a healthy lifestyle? That’s where lasting change lives.

Here’s what I’ve learned—and what I share with the clients I coach:

1. Focus on daily consistency, not perfection. You don’t need to “start over” every Monday. One off-day doesn’t ruin your progress—it’s just life.

2. Make protein and planning your best friends. A simple protein-forward breakfast and a bit of weekly prep go a long way in beating cravings and stabilizing blood sugar.

3. Think beyond the scale. Energy, sleep, mood, and confidence matter just as much—if not more—than a number.
